Key ideas
An atom's radius is about 1 × 10⁻¹⁰ m.
The nucleus holds protons (+) and neutrons (0), so it is positive.
The nucleus is tiny, but holds almost all the mass.
Electrons absorb radiation to move up a level, and emit it to move down.
