  1. Ripple tank: a lamp casts the ripples onto paper; measure across 10 waves, then divide by 10 for the wavelength.

  2. Film the ripples to count how many pass a point in a set time for the frequency.

  3. Vibrating string: adjust the frequency until still loops form; each loop is half a wavelength.

  4. Wave speed v = f λ in both set-ups.
